Our Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Bible Baptist Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God the Father

We believe that God is eternal, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, wise, perfect, merciful, patient, abundant in grace, true, holy, righteous, unchanging, hating evil, punishing injustice, avenging, a consuming fire, a righteous judge, compassionate, and desiring the salvation of all. God is light, dwelling in unapproachable light. God is love. He loves His creation, and this love is revealed to humanity in Jesus Christ. For the salvation of humanity, God sent His only begotten Son and the Holy Spirit to the earth.

God the Son – Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal God, having no beginning or end of days. He is the Creator of the Universe.

Before the creation of the world, God predestined His only begotten Son to be a propitiation for the redemption and salvation of mankind. He appeared in the flesh, born of the virgin Mary through the immaculate conception by the Holy Spirit.

God the Son united both the divine and human natures in Himself. He came into the world “in the likeness of sinful flesh,” yet without sin. “He committed no sin.” He was without evil, thus able to be a sacrifice for the sins of the world.

Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah of God and the only Savior of the world. He conquered the devil and hell, destroyed death. By His death, the Lord Jesus Christ rendered powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil. He redeemed us with His blood, becoming the sole mediator between God and man. He became our Advocate before the Father and the High Priest of future blessings. Whoever believes in Him has eternal life. The resurrected, ascended, and glorified Jesus Christ is the Creator and Head of the Church. He will judge the universe.

God the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a person and, being God, possesses omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, holiness, and other attributes.

The Holy Spirit is the Creator of the universe along with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit inspired the prophets and the Apostles. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was sent to testify about Christ, to glorify Him, and to build the Church.

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, leading a person to repentance and regeneration. He indwells those who have repented, turned to God, and obeyed Him. The Holy Spirit lives in the born-again, teaching, convicting, instructing, guiding (Acts 8:29; 13:2), encouraging, and comforting (John 14:26), confirming (Eph. 3:16-19), producing fruit, and endowing with grace gifts for service in the Church.

The Word of God repeatedly commands believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to have the power for a holy life and to witness for Jesus Christ. Sacred Scripture commands not to sin against the Holy Spirit.

The Fall

Tempted by Satan, humanity fell into sin and lost the glory of God. Through one man, sin entered the world and passed to all generations, to every person. All became children of wrath, and retribution for sin awaits all, that is, death.

Sin separated man from God. Breaking God’s commandment, man fell, became estranged from God, and began to do evil. Man cannot independently return to the path of righteousness since his mind and conscience are defiled, and by nature, he is a child of wrath.

Redemption

God loves man and does not desire his destruction. He sent His only begotten Son into the world in human form so that, by His Blood shed on the Cross, He might redeem all people. Jesus Christ satisfied the requirements of God’s holiness, and now salvation by grace is given to all.

For salvation, faith is necessary, which comes from hearing the Word of God. God grants salvation to those who receive His Word and repent of their sins under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Faith prompts a person to trust the Lord and be obedient to Him. Confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior confirms true faith. Works of faith testify to genuine faith. “…faith, if it does not have works, is dead.”

It is up to each person to be saved through faith or, by rejecting the Word of God, make themselves unworthy of eternal life. A believer, once born again, that is, becoming a participant in Christ, once enlightened and tasting the heavenly gift, becoming a partaker of the Holy Spirit and tasting the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, will attain eternal life only if they firmly preserve the life begun until the end.
